BRINTNELL PROJECT - LAST YEAR
OBJECTIVE: Safe Removal and Replacement of
Downhole Packer
WELL INFORMATION: Deep-Well, High-Pressure Environment
Location: Northern, AB

Procedure:
-
Rigged up 3k 9" snubbing stack on top of 11" BOP, hang-off flange, and cross-over spools.
-
Pulled unit aside, removed hanger, installed collar, bolted up stack, and staged collars.
-
Used mud can to reach the 9-5/8 packer, securing the well while removing the old packer.
-
Installed a new packer and staged to bottom.
Challenges:
-
Managing heavy loads while maintaining operational safety and efficiency.
-
Minimizing risk during high-complexity staging and packer replacement.
Results:
-
Reduced overhead loads, enhancing safety and efficiency.
-
Achieved project goals on time and within budget.
HELIUM PROJECT
OBJECTIVE: Complex Snubbing and Tubing Operations with Secure Well Control
WELL INFORMATION: High-Pressure Ram-to-Ram Setup, Double-Crown Rigl
Location: Saskatchewan

Results:
-
Reduced overhead loads, enhancing safety and efficiency.
-
Achieved project goals on time and within budget.
Procedure:
-
Rigged up 5k 7" unit on top of 3k 11' BOP and spools with hand-off flange.
-
Staged out 11' hanger using hang-off flange; pulled unit aside, installed collar, and bolted up.
-
Pulled 3-1/2 tubing staging collars using mud can to the 9-5/8 packer.
-
Removed the old packer, installed the new packer, and staged to bottom.
Challenges:
-
Complex rigging requirements with high-precision staging and collar handling.
-
Overhead load management to reduce risk and ensure team safety.
Results:
-
Streamlined well completion with reduced injury risk.
-
Achieved timely, cost-effective results, completing the project safely and efficiently.

BRINTNELL PROJECT - PREVIOUS YEARS
OBJECTIVE: Efficient Well Intervention with
Snubbing Operations
WELL INFORMATION: High-Pressure, Multi-Stage Completion
Location: Northern, AB
HELIUM PROJECT
OBJECTIVE: Complex Snubbing and Tubing Operations with Secure Well Control
WELL INFORMATION: High-Pressure Ram-to-Ram Setup, Double-Crown Rigl
Location: Saskatchewan

Procedure:
-
Job scope varied from high-pressure ram-to-ram operations to complex multi-packer and sliding sleeve setups.
-
Performed snubbing of 9m tubing over the double crown using a crane for secure breakdown.
-
Safely managed the well, breaking down tubing and BHA, and laid out components for inspection.
Challenges:
-
Executed high-pressure operations requiring precise handling.
-
Complex snubbing over double crown with strict safety protocols.
Results:
-
Successful well control with zero safety incidents.
-
Efficient breakdown and secure completion of tasks, supporting client’s operational timelines.
